The briefing will take place this Friday 23 November from 10.00 to 11.00, exceptionally at the European Policy Centre's Max Kohnstamm room, 4th floor Résidence Palace, 155 Rue de la Loi, Brussels.
Votes to be analysed include:
· Future of the Economic and Monetary Union
· Environmental impact of shale gas and shale oil extraction activities
· Conservation of fisheries resources
· European Parliament 2014 elections
· Common Security and Defense Policy
These votes can and will be analysed only if they are held by roll call. Except in the case of final votes on legislative files, votes only take place by roll call at the request of a political group or group of MEPs.
Doru Frantescu, VoteWatch Europe policy director, will present an analysis of the outcome of key votes being held in Strasbourg this week. He will show which coalitions of MEPs, national delegations and political groups were instrumental in passing - or blocking (elements of) these proposals, and how this relates to earlier votes on the same or similar topics. Michiel van Hulten, VoteWatch Europe managing director, will chair the event.
Please confirm your attendance by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org no later than Wednesday 21 November, 12.00.
